Routine Eye Checkups

Regular eye screenings are an essential component of maintaining your eyes healthy. An eye screening enables a specialist to rectify any visual abnormalities that have occurred since your last consultation and assists in the detection of any eye disorders at an early stage, while they are most curable. If you have a family background of eye disorders (such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, or cataracts), you should consult an eye specialist more frequently.

Screening for the following conditions is part of regular eye care:

  • General eye health – includes glaucoma and macular degeneration screening.
  • Refraction – Refraction is done to assess if you need glasses or whether your eyeglass prescription has to be changed. We also provide routine and specialized contact lenses.
  • Loss of close vision – Most people’s ability to focus up close declines when they reach their 40s and beyond. This can be addressed using reading glasses or bifocals, either prescription or non-prescription.

Non Invasive Services

Refraction

The power of eyeglasses or contact lenses is determined using eye refraction. This assessment is determined by how much the eye's lens must bend light rays in order to recognize visual inputs. This is given as a distance and clarity measurement.

Applanation Tonometry

Applanation Tonometry is widely regarded as the standard diagnostic approach to assessing eye pressure (the intraocular pressure or IOP). This approach measures pressure indirectly by determining how much force is required to flatten the cornea.

Keratometry/ A Scan

Keratometry is the measurement of the cornea's curvature. An A-scan is required to determine the axial length of the eye in order to place an intraocular lens (IOL, or artificial lens) during cataract surgery.

Foreign Body Removal

Our eye care professionals can give immediate and effective comfort and treatment for this situation.

Funduscopy

The equipment used to assess the internal structures of the eye, particularly the retina, that consists primarily of a mirror that reflects light entering the eye and a central hole through which the eye is observed.

Contact Lens Prescription

We make it simple by offering prescription contacts from popular brands such as Acuvue, Air Optix, Biofinity, and Proclear.

Speciality Consultation

Our ophthalmology expert provides glaucoma, cornea/refractive surgery, hard-to-fit contacts, oculoplastics, cataract surgery, dry eye, and low vision treatment procedures.

Retinoscopy

Retinoscopy is a test that opticians perform to assess how well you can see things at varying distances and the type of vision correction you will require for your glasses.
